Sport Hosting Vancouver Announced as Finalist for the 11th Annual Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance’s PRESTIGE Awards

Recently announced, Sport Hosting Vancouver is proud to be among the finalists for the 2017 Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) PRESTIGE Awards. Nominated in the Sport Tourism Organization of the Year presented by WestJet category, Sport Hosting Vancouver is one of the many representatives from British Columbia on the finalist list. Recognized for our commitment to sport tourism in the community, Sport Hosting Vancouver would like to thank each of our partners for their continued efforts in pursuit of our joint goals.

Following a banner year of event hosting including the inaugural HSBC Canada Sevens, numerous Canada Soccer FIFA World Cup Qualifying Matches, the Canadian Little League Championships and many more, the Sport Hosting Vancouver partnership is proud to recognize the successes of 2016.

Recently announced future event acquisitions including the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship and 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championship; show the strength in the Sport Hosting Vancouver bid development and the reputation of our world-class hosting abilities within the sport tourism community.

Recipients will be announced on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 during the 11th PRESTIGE Awards gala luncheon sponsored by Saskatoon Sports Tourism. It takes place at the CSTA’s annual Sport Events Congress  at the Westin Ottawa Hotel, emceed by broadcast journalist Scott Russell, host of CBC Sports Road to the Olympic Games.
